steal deal!

Hi everybody,
I have been so busy with work(I'm interning this summer) that i haven't had any time at all to do a outfit post even though I've been longing to try out so many different styles and looks this season! Argh!
Hopefully, I'll have some free time soon and will come up with an outfit post as fast as i can! :D

Now coming back to this post, i went to Bandra around 2 days back for some work and ended up at hill road(one of my top shopping destinations in Mumbai) after my work got done. If you go street shopping there right now, they have some of the most amazing deals and stuff ever! i just couldn't stop myself from picking up whatever i could lay my hands on! And it was there that i came across this vendor selling flat gladiators for JUST Rs.100!
It was a complete steal and i just couldn't resist it! I picked up these in three different shades(black, golden and white)! :D
so if you're going shopping around Bandra or have been longing for flat gladiators this summer, Hill Road is the place for it!
They have it in shades of black, white, brown, silver, golden.

location: In front of the Bata outlet at Hill Road,Bandra.

These are pictures of the black and golden gladiators I picked up, if you like it go graB your own pair ASAP! :D

Experimenting with Bottoms!

Hey everybody :)
for this week's feature I've chosen to do a post about experimenting with different colors of bottoms as that is something I feel all of us seldom do; we tend to stick to the conventional blue color whilst donning a pair of jeans and even if we do ignore the blue for once, we instead opt for a black or brown or white pair. while these conventional colors sure are a safe bet, sometimes opting for loud/funky different colors can perk up your whole look, mood as well as attire! its good to experiment at times.
What I've worn here is a pair of pink jeans by ZARA i bought a couple of days ago and i just can't help but go gaga over it!
One important thing to remember while dressing up in bright colored outfits is to not end up looking like a paintbox exploded over your body! :P
if you're opting for bright bottoms, go for a not-so-loud top and vice versa. here, i teamed my pink jeans with a crisp white shirt from Benetton and a brown belt and brown bad to complete the look.
the most common question a lot of people have while opting for colored bottoms is-- "where will i wear them to?"
the answer is- you have a lot of options! they can be worn on a  lunch outing with friends, or while your going to catch up on a movie, can also be worn with a fancy top for a party!

Jeans(as mentioned above): ZARA
White shirt: United Colors of Benetton
Shoes: Marie Clarie
Bag: Mango
Belt: local shop
Watch: Titan
also, Zara had various other colours in the same pattern, but pink being my favourite, was the one  opted for!
here, check them out!

If you like any, go grab them before the stocks for this season end!! :D

ripped jeans and more...

hello guys!
finally made a Facebook page for pink struck! check it out and let me know what you think! :D

now about this outfit, summer has always been a season that gets me into a funky mood! this is a season where i love experimenting with my own style and playing with different kinds of colors and textures.

ripped jeans:
one thing i experimented with this summer was trying to make my own pair of ripped jeans! :P
i took an old pair of jeans(a good pair shouldn't go waste if the plan backfires!) and ripped it myself with a knife(you can even do it with a pair of scissors, but a knife gives you better textures). i personally love the way it looks and more importantly, the way it feels when i'm wearing them! this pair is enough to get me into the whole funky groove of the season and .. B-)

pink vest:
i got this pink vest from bangkok when i went last year, and have hardly ever worn it since. but now that summer's here, i'm sure i'll wear it a lot more often! i teamed up this bright pink vest with a pair of faded blue ripped jeans and a blank tank top, making sure that pink was the only bright color in the attire to make it stand out. for the accessories, too, like the bracelets, watch, bag, sunglasses, i used colors like black and brown so as to not let the focus shift from the jacket.

accessories:
i wore black gladiators to complement the ripped jeans and carried a brown bag, which is great from the sense of fashion as well as utility! the gold necklace has been my favorite accessory since a few days and i just didn't feel like letting it go for the shoot and have decided to keep it! i love the way it compliments the bright pink shade of the vest! i also wore a watch, bracelets and black wayfarers(a great accessory for the sunny times!)

black tank top: fame forever
jeans: wrangler
gladiators: sole to soul (bandra, linking road)
brown bag: accessorize
watch: fast track
bracelets: hill road
wayfarers: accessorize
golden necklace: local exhibition

once again, this was a shoot where siddharth, harsh and myself teamed up! :D we clicked the pictures at carter's at bandra and then lazed around for a while at candies.. had an awesome time with them! :D :*
also, do try and check out their blog, i promise you won't be disappointed!
