Hello everybody!
its almost been a month since my last post(!!) and you have no idea how pathetic i feel about it! but now that i'm finally finally done with all my project submissions and exams and am a free bird for 2 whole months, I've vowed to post much more often! :D
there are so many different looks I've been waiting to experiment with for summer, and i hope to get as many as them possible to you right here, throughout these following weeks!
so now coming back to this post, for my first look of summer, i decided to stick to a conventional summer attire which basically includes bright shades, floral patterns and short dresses:
Use of bright shades :
shades like pink, red, electric blue, purple, etc, make wonderful colors for summer as they get you into the whole feel of the season!
floral patterns:
floral patterns in different color combinations and styles make any apparel look all the more 'summery' and girlie!
short dresses:
short, pretty and graceful. sounds like the perfect combination, doesn't it? there's a reason why girls all over the globe love summer dresses!
gold accessories:
also, another thing I've chosen to incorporate in this style is the use of golden colored accessories. i love the way the colors red and gold compliment each other and hence opted for a golden butterfly necklace and a golden owl ring for this look!
I've also used a black and gold belt with a butterfly shaped buckle which adds to the charm of the whole dress!
schoolgirl shoes:
i hated wearing school girl shoes back in school and wondered why there wasn't a better substitute for them, like peep toes or ballerinas! :P
and now, i'm in love with them! ironic, isn't it?!
i bought a pair of beautiful brown schoolgirl shoes at a sale this season and was eagerly waiting for an occasion to wear them, and finally i did get one! these shoes, i feel, compliment the summer style perfectly and add an innocent charm to the overall look.
dress: bangkok ; shoes: shoppers' stop ; owl ring: aldo ; flower ring: accessorize ; belt ; bangkok ; butterfly necklace: accessorize
little did i know that i would not end up with one, but two of them!--Siddharth Mate and Harsh Agarwal
the session we had was a blast for all of us and we're teaming up for one more post coming up this week! make sure you watch out this space for more exciting and trendy summer posts!
i hope all of you enjoyed reading this post, as much as i enjoyed writing it! :)
